About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow in the field of Neuroscience to lead innovative research projects at their facility in Bristol . This position involves conducting in-depth investigations into the mechanisms of neurological disorders and identifying potential therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for experimental design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and mentoring junior researchers. This is an excellent opportunity for a scientist with a strong track record in neuroscience research to contribute significantly to a leading research organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex experiments investigating neuronal function, synaptic plasticity, and neurodegenerative processes.
- Utilize a range of cutting-edge techniques including electrophysiology, advanced microscopy, molecular biology, and behavioral analysis.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software.
- Write and publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present work at international conferences.
- Supervise and mentor postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research assistants.
- Contribute to grant writing and the development of new research proposals in neuroscience .
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience , Neurobiology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research experience with a demonstrable record of productivity and publications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with key neuroscience techniques relevant to cellular and molecular mechanisms.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, including statistical software packages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare manuscripts and present research findings clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and mentor junior scientists in a laboratory setting.
