Senior Research Fellow - Neuroscience

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow in the field of Neuroscience to lead innovative research projects at their facility in Bristol . This position involves conducting in-depth investigations into the mechanisms of neurological disorders and identifying potential therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for experimental design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and mentoring junior researchers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex experiments investigating neuronal function, synaptic plasticity, and neurodegenerative processes.
• Utilize a range of cutting-edge techniques including electrophysiology, advanced microscopy, molecular biology, and behavioral analysis.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software.
• Write and publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present work at international conferences.
• Supervise and mentor postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research assistants.
• Contribute to grant writing and the development of new research proposals in neuroscience .

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience , Neurobiology, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research experience with a demonstrable record of productivity and publications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with key neuroscience techniques relevant to cellular and molecular mechanisms.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, including statistical software packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare manuscripts and present research findings clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and mentor junior scientists in a laboratory setting.
