About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join their innovative R&D team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct complex research experiments in biotechnology , including molecular biology, cell culture, and genetic engineering techniques.
- Design and optimize experimental protocols, analyze data, and interpret results to inform research strategy.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications, grant proposals, and internal reports.
- Mentor junior research staff and provide technical guidance on experimental procedures and data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, pharmacology, and process development, to achieve project milestones.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements relevant to the company's research areas.
Requirements
- PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture , gene editing technologies (e.g., CRISPR), and molecular cloning.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and interpretation of complex biological data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to present scientific findings effectively.
