Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of experimental research programs focused on developing novel chemical synthesis routes and process improvements.
- Characterize chemical reactions and products using advanced analytical techniques, ensuring accurate data collection and interpretation.
- Develop scalable and cost-effective chemical processes, considering safety, environmental impact, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with process engineers to translate laboratory-scale findings into pilot-plant and commercial-scale operations.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in chemical engineering and related fields.
- Author comprehensive research reports, scientific publications, and patent applications.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of postdoctoral or industrial research experience in developing and scaling up chemical processes.
- Proven expertise in organic synthesis, catalysis, or reaction engineering.
- Proficiency with a range of analytical instrumentation (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR).
- Strong understanding of process development principles, including mass transfer, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
- Excellent scientific communication skills, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to present complex data clearly.
