Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement experimental strategies for target identification and validation using state-of-the-art methodologies in molecular biology and biochemistry.
• Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, employing statistical methods and bioinformatics tools to draw meaningful conclusions and guide research direction.
• Lead and mentor junior scientists, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative research environment within the drug discovery unit.
• Prepare detailed research reports, present findings at internal and external scientific meetings, and contribute to patent applications and peer-reviewed publications.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical development, to advance drug candidates through the pipeline.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in pharmaceutical research and drug discovery.

Requirements

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in drug discovery research, with a proven track record of scientific achievement.
• Extensive experience with various assay development techniques, cell-based assays, and biochemical assays relevant to target validation.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and experience with bioinformatics tools for genomic and proteomic data interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead research projects, manage timelines, and effectively communicate complex scientific information.
