Senior Research Scientist - Genomics

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement experimental strategies for various genomic applications, including whole-genome sequencing, exome sequencing, and RNA-Seq.
• Perform sophisticated analysis of large-scale genomic datasets, utilizing bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
• Interpret genomic findings in the context of biological pathways and disease phenotypes, generating actionable insights.
• Collaborate closely with computational biologists, statisticians, and experimental scientists to integrate multi-omics data.

Requirements

• PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant research experience in genomics, with a strong focus on data analysis.
• Proven expertise in analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including variant calling, annotation, and differential expression analysis.
• Proficiency with bioinformatics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Bash) is essential.
• Strong understanding of Mendelian genetics, population genetics, and cancer genomics is highly desirable.
