Senior Research Scientist - Immunology

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist with a specialization in immunology to join their innovative research team in Brighton . This role is focused on unraveling the complexities of the immune system to discover and develop novel immunotherapies for a range of diseases. You will lead research projects, design and execute complex experiments, and interpret data to drive the understanding of immune responses. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute research projects focused on immunology and immunotherapy development.
• Design, develop, and optimize various immunological assays, including ELISAs, flow cytometry, and cell-based functional assays.
• Investigate immune cell populations, cytokine profiles, and signaling pathways in disease models.
• Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, generating actionable insights for therapeutic development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance projects from discovery through to preclinical development.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in immunology and related fields, and mentor junior research staff.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience in immunology research .
• Demonstrated expertise in immunology techniques such as flow cytometry , cytokine analysis, and cell-based assays.
• Strong understanding of innate and adaptive immunity, and experience with relevant disease models.
• Proven ability to manage research projects, analyze data, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in Brighton .
