Senior Research Scientist - Immunology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Research Scientist with a strong background in Immunology to join their pioneering research team in Brighton . You will be responsible for designing and executing cutting-edge experiments, mentoring junior scientists, and contributing to the strategic direction of the immunology portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Lead research projects focused on innate and adaptive immune responses in various disease contexts.
• Design, perform, and interpret complex immunological assays, including flow cytometry, ELISpot, cytokine analysis, and cell-based functional assays.
• Develop and validate new assays to support drug discovery and development efforts.
• Mentor and guide junior research staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and present findings to internal teams and external collaborators.
• Contribute to scientific publications, patent applications, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-doctoral experience in immunology research , preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing research projects and leading scientific teams.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a broad range of immunological techniques and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of immune cell populations, signaling pathways, and their role in disease.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
