Senior Research Scientist - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Research Scientist to join their pioneering Oncology research team in London . You will be instrumental in designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the strategic direction of our oncology pipeline. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects focused on identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets in oncology.
• Design, optimize, and perform complex biological assays and experimental procedures.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, drawing robust conclusions and making data-driven recommendations.
• Prepare and present research findings to internal teams, project leaders, and scientific committees.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the development of best practices within the R&D department.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and translational science.

Requirements

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Oncology, Immunology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in oncology drug discovery .
• Proven track record in designing and executing complex cell-based assays and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Extensive experience with techniques such as flow cytometry, western blotting, and molecular cloning.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation software.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
