Senior Reservoir Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in London, England, UK . This pivotal role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from oil and gas fields, utilizing advanced simulation techniques and data analysis. You will be instrumental in developing long-term field development strategies, maximizing asset value, and contributing to the company's overall technical excellence in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow physics, and economic evaluations, working collaboratively within a leading energy firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
• Perform reserve estimations and economic analyses for asset valuation and investment decisions.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize production strategies.
• Conduct technical reviews and present findings to management and project teams.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to ensure integrated field development plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the reservoir engineering discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
• Strong understanding of geological concepts, petrophysics, and fluid dynamics .
• Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation techniques.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
