About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This pivotal role involves the analysis, interpretation, and modelling of reservoir data to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and ensure efficient field development strategies. You will be instrumental in evaluating potential exploration targets and managing existing assets for maximum value creation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization using geological and geophysical data.
• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict production performance and evaluate development scenarios.
• Perform economic evaluations and risk assessments for new projects and existing fields.
• Provide technical recommendations for well placement, completion strategies, and production optimization.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to achieve project objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE).
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow, and recovery mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with uncertainty analysis and risk management in reservoir studies.
