About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in evaluating hydrocarbon reserves, optimizing production strategies, and ensuring the economic viability of oil and gas assets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir simulation, performance analysis, and economic evaluation techniques, contributing significantly to the company's strategic decision-making processes within a remote-first operational framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reservoir studies, including reserve estimation and production forecasting, utilizing advanced simulation software.
- Develop and implement optimized field development plans and production strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Perform economic evaluations of oil and gas projects, assessing risks and uncertainties.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers, primarily through virtual channels.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir management best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong track record in the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience in reserve reporting standards (e.g., SPE PRMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
