Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland . This role is pivotal in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from our client's offshore assets. You will be instrumental in analyzing reservoir performance, developing field development plans, and applying advanced simulation techniques to maximize value. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir physics, production forecasting, and economic evaluation, contributing directly to the company's strategic operational goals within the challenging North Sea environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and test development scenarios.
• Conduct uncertainty assessments and probabilistic forecasting for oil and gas reserves .
• Analyze production data, well performance, and pressure transient data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to integrate reservoir data into comprehensive field development plans.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in reservoir engineering and advocate for their adoption.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on offshore oil and gas operations.
• Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Tempest, Petrel RE).
• Proven ability to perform economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses for field development projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and uncertainty quantification techniques is essential.
