Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves managing and optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from oil and gas fields, utilizing advanced simulation and analytical techniques. You will play a crucial part in developing field development plans, production strategies, and reservoir management initiatives to maximize asset value. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reservoir management plans, including surveillance, performance analysis, and forecasting.
• Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict reservoir behavior.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and field optimization .
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to ensure integrated project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools .
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid mechanics, and geological concepts .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
