Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This pivotal role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing reservoirs and evaluating new exploration opportunities. You will play a key part in the strategic planning and execution of reservoir management strategies, contributing directly to the company's production targets and long-term asset value. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir simulation, data analysis, and production forecasting within the demanding UK Oil & Gas landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization and performance analysis using advanced simulation software.
• Develop and implement optimized production strategies, including enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Prepare comprehensive reservoir management plans and economic evaluations for field development.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the reservoir engineering group.
• Monitor reservoir performance against forecasts and recommend adjustments to optimize production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel RE, Eclipse, Roxar RMS).
• Strong analytical skills with experience in volumetric calculations , decline curve analysis, and material balance.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting technical findings to stakeholders.
