Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This pivotal role involves managing and optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from oil and gas reservoirs. You will be instrumental in providing expert geological and engineering insights, contributing directly to the company's production strategies and long-term asset value. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative environment, leveraging advanced simulation tools and data analytics to make critical decisions that drive operational efficiency and maximize resource extraction, all while upholding the highest safety and environmental standards inherent to the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive reservoir management plans to optimize production and recovery rates.
• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological, geophysical, and production data.
• Perform advanced reservoir simulation and forecasting to predict future performance and identify development opportunities.
• Collaborate with drilling, production, and geosciences teams to ensure integrated field development and operations.
• Prepare technical reports, economic evaluations, and reserve assessments for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development within the reservoir engineering discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering or scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel RE, Eclipse, CMG).
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow in porous media, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience presenting technical findings.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
