Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in London, England, UK . This pivotal role involves leveraging advanced simulation and analytical techniques to optimize hydrocarbon recovery and manage reservoir performance across a diverse portfolio of assets. You will be instrumental in developing long-term field development strategies, contributing significantly to the company's technical expertise and operational success within the competitive Oil & Gas sector. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reservoir characterization studies using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and calibrate sophisticated reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
• Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and economic evaluations for oil and gas fields.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the reservoir engineering discipline.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize production strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on simulation and field development planning.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas industry , particularly in upstream operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with uncertainty analysis and risk assessment in reservoir management.
