About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the Oil & Gas industry , is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to enhance their asset development and optimization team in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is crucial for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing and new fields through sophisticated reservoir analysis and management. You will work closely with geoscientists and production engineers to develop data-driven strategies, utilizing advanced simulation tools and field data to inform decisions. This hybrid position offers a blend of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility, contributing to the sustainable production and value enhancement of the company's reservoir portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reservoir management plans , including production forecasting and optimization strategies.
- Perform detailed reservoir characterization and simulation studies to predict fluid flow and recovery performance.
- Conduct economic evaluations of development opportunities and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
- Monitor reservoir performance, analyze production data, and identify potential issues or opportunities.
- Collaborate with drilling and completion engineers on well planning and execution.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and well test analysis.
- Experience in integrated asset modeling and economic analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
