Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This pivotal role involves optimizing the performance of oil and gas assets through advanced reservoir characterization and management techniques. You will play a crucial part in developing long-term field development strategies, maximizing hydrocarbon recovery, and ensuring the economic viability of projects. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir studies, including static and dynamic modeling, to understand reservoir complexities and predict performance.
• Develop and implement reservoir management plans , production strategies, and well intervention programs.
• Utilize reservoir simulation software to forecast production, evaluate development options, and optimize recovery factors.
• Perform economic analysis of development scenarios and provide recommendations for investment decisions.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, production engineers, and drilling engineers to ensure integrated field development.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the reservoir engineering team.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on simulation and modeling.
• Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE).
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful field development plans.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis, uncertainty assessment, and risk management in reservoir studies.
