About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior RF Engineer to join their growing team in Edinburgh . This role is central to the design, development, and optimization of radio frequency systems and components used in their advanced telecommunications products and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of RF systems, working with state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze RF circuits and systems, including antennas, amplifiers, and filters.
- Conduct RF performance testing, troubleshooting, and validation of new designs and existing products.
- Optimize RF system parameters to meet stringent performance requirements for signal strength, noise, and interference.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of RF components.
- Develop technical specifications and documentation for RF systems and sub-systems.
- Stay current with emerging RF technologies and industry standards, recommending advancements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in RF Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in RF design and analysis .
- Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics, antenna theory, and microwave circuits.
- Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
- Knowledge of wireless communication standards (e.g., 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi) is a plus.
