About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior RF Network Engineer to join their growing team in Cardiff . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, optimization, and performance tuning of radio frequency (RF) networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and high-quality service delivery across their infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize RF network infrastructure, including cellular towers and base stations.
- Conduct site surveys, RF design simulations, and propagation modeling to ensure optimal coverage and capacity.
- Monitor network performance using specialized tools, identifying and resolving RF interference and quality issues.
- Troubleshoot complex RF-related problems and implement effective solutions to maintain service integrity.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate new RF technologies and features.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for RF network designs and operational procedures.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in RF network engineering , particularly with cellular technologies (4G/5G).
- Proficiency in RF planning and optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet).
- Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and propagation characteristics.
- Experience with spectrum analysis and interference mitigation techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
