About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Risk Manager to join their established financial services company, operating remotely from Southampton . You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring the company operates within acceptable risk appetite. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the enterprise-wide risk management framework.
- Identify, assess, and prioritise key financial, operational, and strategic risks.
- Design and execute risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate potential impacts.
- Prepare risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and the board.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory risk management requirements.
- Promote a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related discipline; Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., FRM, PRM) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of various risk types (credit, market, operational, liquidity) and risk management methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
