Senior Risk Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and strategic Senior Risk Manager to join their established finance division in Leeds . This role is essential for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring the company operates within acceptable risk tolerances. This hybrid position combines the need for close collaboration with key stakeholders in our Leeds office with the flexibility of remote work, promoting a balanced and effective approach to risk oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including identifying key risks, analyzing their potential impact, and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on the company's risk profile to senior management and the board of directors.
• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures across all business functions.
• Manage regulatory compliance related to risk management requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and management best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PRM, FRM) is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of various risk types, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
