About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join their established team in Sunderland , a key player in the banking and finance sector. This role is integral to identifying, assessing, and managing various risks that could impact the organization's operations and financial stability. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of risk assessment methodologies within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the enterprise-wide risk management framework.
• Identify, assess, and monitor key risks, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services or banking industry .
• Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies, quantitative analysis, and risk modeling.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel Accords, Solvency II).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
