About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist specializing in Analytical Development to join their dedicated team in Derby . This role is critical for developing and validating robust analytical methods required for the characterization and quality control of chemical products and pharmaceutical intermediates. You will apply your expertise in various analytical techniques to ensure product quality, process understanding, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
- Perform stability studies and method transfer activities to internal or external manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot analytical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed analytical development reports, method validation protocols, and transfer documents.
- Collaborate with formulation scientists, process chemists, and quality assurance teams to support product development and manufacturing.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of various analytical techniques, including chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR, NMR), and mass spectrometry.
- Strong understanding of ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements for analytical method validation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail for work in Derby .
