Senior Scientist - Assay Development

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing novel assay formats, validating their performance, and troubleshooting complex technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate biochemical and cell-based assays for target identification and validation.
• Optimize assay conditions to improve sensitivity, specificity, robustness, and throughput.
• Implement automation and miniaturization strategies for high-throughput screening (HTS).
• Troubleshoot assay performance issues and identify solutions.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and computational scientists to integrate assay data into discovery programs.
• Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to reports, presentations, and publications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in assay development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proven expertise in developing and optimizing a variety of assay formats (e.g., ELISA, fluorescence, luminescence, FRET, AlphaScreen).
• Experience with cell-based assays, including primary cells and cell lines.
• Familiarity with HTS platforms and automation systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
