Senior Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Security Analyst to join their dynamic team in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify system weaknesses.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, providing timely and effective response and resolution.
• Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents, recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure the secure configuration and deployment of systems and networks.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, recommending proactive solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Proven experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, cryptography , and risk management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly.
