About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Security Analyst to join their established IT security team in Cambridge . This role is crucial for safeguarding the organization's digital assets against a constantly evolving threat landscape. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, and contributing to the development and implementation of effective security measures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint detection systems, for security threats.
- Analyze security alerts and events, conduct in-depth investigations, and produce incident reports.
- Develop and maintain security dashboards and reports to track key security metrics.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of security tools and technologies.
- Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation tracking.
- Contribute to the refinement of security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a security analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for threat analysis in Cambridgeshire .
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
