Senior Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Security Analyst to join their established IT security team in Cambridge . You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, and contributing to the development and implementation of effective security measures. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint detection systems, for security threats.
• Analyze security alerts and events, conduct in-depth investigations, and produce incident reports.
• Develop and maintain security dashboards and reports to track key security metrics.
• Assist in the implementation and configuration of security tools and technologies.
• Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning and remediation tracking.
• Contribute to the refinement of security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a security analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for threat analysis in Cambridgeshire .
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
