About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly innovative and experienced Senior Security Architect to join their fully remote team. This strategic role involves designing, building, and maintaining the organisation's security infrastructure and architecture, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and resilient against emerging threats. You will be responsible for defining security requirements, developing security blueprints, and collaborating with engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient security architectures across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and reference architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organisation's security posture.
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security controls and principles into system designs.
- Conduct security reviews of proposed architectures and systems, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on security architecture best practices to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience designing secure cloud solutions.
- Expertise in network security, application security, identity and access management, and data security.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
