About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will work on advanced security projects, ensuring that security is a core component of all IT systems and applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and SIEM systems.
- Develop and automate security processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Lead the response to complex security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in security engineering and operations.
- Strong expertise in network security, system security, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience with container security and orchestration platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
