About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior SEO Specialist to join their expanding marketing department, operating remotely to serve the Newcastle upon Tyne region. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in enhancing organic search visibility and driving qualified traffic to our client's digital properties. You will conduct in-depth keyword research, technical SEO audits, and develop strategic content initiatives. This position requires a forward-thinking individual with a deep understanding of search engine algorithms and a passion for optimising online presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and traffic.
• Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and backlink audits to identify opportunities and threats.
• Perform technical SEO audits, identifying and resolving issues related to site architecture, crawlability, and indexability.
• Create and manage SEO-focused content strategies in collaboration with content creators and marketing teams.
• Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs, providing actionable insights.
• Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated SEO Specialist role, with a proven track record of success.
• Expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from an SEO perspective.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website analytics platforms.
