About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior SEO Specialist to join their thriving marketing department based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for driving organic growth and improving search engine rankings for the company's digital assets. You will be instrumental in shaping and executing advanced SEO strategies, working closely with content creators and web developers to ensure all online content is optimized for search engines. This is an on-site position, fostering a collaborative environment where you can directly impact the company's search visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis to identify new organic growth opportunities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
• Monitor website performance using SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console) and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure all content is optimized for relevant keywords and search intent.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical SEO issues, including site speed, mobile-friendliness, and crawlability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithms and SEO best practices, adapting strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
• Proven success in developing and executing SEO strategies that have significantly increased organic traffic.
• Expertise in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO aspects, including site architecture, schema markup, and mobile optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience working within a marketing team or agency environment.
