Senior Site Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Site Civil Engineer to lead the on-site execution of major civil engineering projects based in or near Bradford . This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of complex construction works. You will provide technical direction, manage site engineering teams, and act as the primary point of technical authority on site, interfacing with clients and contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site engineering function for significant civil engineering projects.
• Oversee the setting out, quality control, and technical aspects of construction works.
• Develop and implement site-specific health, safety, and environmental management plans.
• Ensure effective coordination between the design team, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress against the programme and budget, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Conduct technical reviews of construction methods and materials, recommending improvements.
• Mentor and develop junior site engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in site engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, programming, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in site engineering software, surveying equipment, and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage complex site operations effectively.
