Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their innovative construction team. Although based in Birmingham , this is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute significantly to our projects from anywhere in the UK. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various project stakeholders, including site teams, designers, and clients, all managed through advanced digital platforms. You will be instrumental in driving project success through diligent planning and execution, fostering a collaborative remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and supervision for construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Conduct site inspections and identify potential issues or risks, proposing timely and effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other site personnel remotely.
• Review and approve project documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering , structural principles, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in using project management software and CAD tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and remote team management skills.
