Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Site Engineer to join their team based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is essential for overseeing the technical execution of construction projects on-site, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering plans and specifications. You will be responsible for setting out, providing technical support, and managing site engineering activities to guarantee the structural integrity and quality of the build. This is a crucial role for maintaining project standards and safety on dynamic construction sites, working within a respected firm known for its quality workmanship and project delivery in the construction industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site engineering activities, ensuring work is carried out to precise specifications and drawings.
• Perform accurate setting out and levelling for various construction elements, utilizing surveying equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction crews and subcontractors.
• Conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
• Monitor site progress against the project schedule and report any technical challenges or deviations.
• Ensure all site engineering activities comply with Health and Safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role within construction.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment, Total Stations, and GPS technology.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
