About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership for construction projects, working remotely with site teams across the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of site operations, ensuring accuracy in setting out, quality control, and adherence to project specifications. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with site personnel and project management teams, offering guidance and solutions to technical challenges encountered during construction, all managed from a home-based office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams on engineering matters.
- Ensure accurate setting out and levels are established and maintained on site.
- Oversee quality control procedures and ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Manage and approve method statements and risk assessments for site activities.
- Liaise with the design team and contractors to resolve technical queries and issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
Requirements
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on construction projects.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and AutoCAD .
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and temporary works design.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and management in a remote capacity .
