About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee operations on key construction projects in the Reading area. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, site management, and quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required specifications. This is a critical position for someone who excels in a hands-on environment and is committed to delivering excellence in construction projects throughout Berkshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all site engineering activities, including setting out, levelling, and dimensional control.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with project design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor site quality assurance and control procedures.
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues on site.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built surveys.
- Control and manage plant, materials, and temporary works on site.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
- Extensive experience as a Site Engineer, with a proven track record in managing site operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, surveying, and setting out procedures.
- Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, GPS) and associated software.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
- Ability to lead and motivate site teams effectively.
