About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their construction team in Bradford . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing essential technical engineering support to site operations, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with the site management team to translate designs into reality, manage site surveys, and oversee the implementation of engineering solutions for complex projects within West Yorkshire . This is a hands-on position for an engineer who thrives in a dynamic site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the setting out of the works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical advice and solutions to site teams, addressing engineering challenges as they arise.
- Conduct quality control checks and site inspections to ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
- Manage and maintain all site engineering records, including survey data, as-built drawings, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and site-specific safety plans.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a site engineering role.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and associated software for setting out and levelling.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
