Senior Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their project team in Plymouth . You will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and quality of construction works on site, liaising with design teams and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and implement the project design effectively. This role demands a strong technical background in civil engineering or a related discipline, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to site safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all engineering and technical aspects of the construction site.
• Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage setting out, surveying, and quality control procedures.
• Liaise with subcontractors, designers, and clients on technical matters.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and clashes on site in a timely manner.
• Promote and ensure a high standard of health and safety on site.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Site Engineer, with a proven track record in managing technical aspects of construction projects.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and engineering software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamworking abilities.
