About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their dynamic team in Reading . This role is crucial for overseeing the on-site execution of civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients, and ensuring all activities comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for a seasoned site engineer looking to take on greater responsibility and contribute to significant development projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of site engineering activities for construction projects.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, in accordance with health and safety regulations and site-specific risk assessments.
- Set out sites, control levels, and ensure accurate construction of engineering elements.
- Implement quality control procedures and monitor progress against project schedules.
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, designers, and site personnel.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress charts, and material documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, geotechnical principles , and materials.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software for site applications.
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
