Senior Site Manager - New Mixed-Use Development Location: London Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to help deliver a brand-new £10 million mixed-use development. The scheme comprises 38 residential flats arranged over four floors, with commercial accommodation at basement and ground-floor levels. Project scope
Concrete raft foundations Reinforced-concrete frame structure Brick and metal external cladding Blue-roof system and attenuation drainage Residential and commercial fit-out Associated hard and soft landscaping The role Working closely with the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site and ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing daily site operations, subcontractors and the supply chain Coordinating labour, materials, logistics and work packages Driving the construction programme and monitoring progress against key milestones Maintaining excellent health, safety and environmental standards Ensuring all work complies with drawings, specifications and quality requirements Reviewing RAMS and conducting site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks Coordinating closely with the design, commercial and technical teams Identifying and resolving construction or sequencing issues Completing inspections and maintaining accurate site records Managing quality assurance, snagging and handover activities Supporting and mentoring junior members of the site team About you The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on residential or mixed-use developments Experience delivering reinforced-concrete frame projects of a similar scale and complexity Strong knowledge of structural, envelope, fit-out and external-works packages Excellent subcontractor, programme and logistics-management skills A thorough understanding of construction health and safety requirements Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities Current SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications A relevant construction qualification would be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor and play a key role in delivering a technically varied development from the outset through to successful handover.
