Job Description
Senior Site Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major industrial and logistics development in the South East.
This is a 2.5-year project involving the construction of a large-scale industrial/logistics facility, and we are looking for a Senior Site Manager with a strong background in industrial, warehouse, logistics or shed construction.
The Role
Take a senior leadership role on the project, overseeing day-to-day site operations and delivery. Manage site teams, subcontractors and key construction packages. Drive programme, quality, health & safety and productivity across the project. Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Design and Commercial teams. Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Manage interfaces between groundworks, structural frame, envelope, M&E and fit-out packages. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team. The Candidate:
Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale industrial, logistics, warehouse or shed projects. Strong knowledge of industrial construction methodologies, particularly steel frame, cladding, roofing, groundworks and associated external works. Ideally experienced working for a Tier 1 main contractor. Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills. Good understanding of programme, quality and H&S requirements. Stable career history and the ability to commit to a 2.5-year project.Important: The project is based in the South East, but candidates should be open to lodging away from home if required. The contractor has a strong national pipeline, so flexibility to work on projects outside the South East may be required should the regional workload reduce in the future.
This is a long-term opportunity with a major contractor and would suit a Senior Site Manager looking for stability and the opportunity to deliver a significant industrial/logistics scheme from start to completion
