About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their IT and Software team in Nottingham . This role is critical for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of their production systems. You will focus on automation, infrastructure management, and incident response, working closely with development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure ).
- Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
- Implement and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system design for reliability and performance.
- Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering , DevOps, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go .
- Experience with cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
