Senior Smart Contract Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join their distributed team and play a key role in developing secure and efficient decentralized applications. This is a remote position where you will be instrumental in writing, testing, and deploying complex smart contracts that form the backbone of innovative Crypto & Blockchain projects. You will collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and security experts to ensure the integrity and performance of our smart contract logic. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about the potential of blockchain technology and looking for an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to pioneering projects from anywhere, working within a supportive and technically excellent remote culture based out of Milton Keynes .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts primarily using Solidity.
• Participate in the design and architecture of new smart contract systems and dApp components.
• Conduct rigorous security audits and code reviews for smart contracts to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate smart contracts with front-end applications and backend services.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to smart contract execution and blockchain interactions.
• Contribute to the development of internal tooling and best practices for smart contract development and deployment.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on smart contract development .
• Proficiency in Solidity and deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Experience with smart contract development frameworks like Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry.
• Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with token standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721) and DeFi protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
