About the Role

Our client is seeking an visionary Senior Software Architect to lead the design and technical direction of their software systems in Derby . Key Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall software architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical strategy.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for software development.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures, considering performance and maintainability.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and deployment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an architectural role.
• Proven experience designing complex, large-scale software systems and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of various architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven).
• Expertise in multiple programming languages and technologies, and a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
