About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their robust development team in Liverpool . You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core backend systems that power their innovative products. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js).
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural planning.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development .
- Strong proficiency in at least one major backend programming language and associated frameworks.
- Deep understanding of relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
