Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs using languages like Java , Python , or Node.js .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver features.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for efficiency and scalability.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to establishing coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in one or more server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Node.js).
- In-depth knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL), including design, optimization, and management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a hybrid working setting in Belfast .
