Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimise application performance, database efficiency, and system architecture for maximum reliability and scalability.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews and agile development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical growth within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and message queues.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
