Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a specialization in cloud infrastructure to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Develop and deploy scalable microservices and backend systems on cloud platforms like AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and low latency.
• Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance on cloud best practices.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the cloud infrastructure, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on cloud computing and distributed systems.
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS , Azure, or GCP) and associated services.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and database management in a cloud environment.
