Our client is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join their expanding data platforms team in Liverpool . You will work with large-scale datasets, implement robust data pipelines, and ensure the performance and reliability of their data warehouse and data lake solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools and technologies.
- Build and optimize data models within their data warehouse and data lake solutions.
- Implement and manage data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Monitor data platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for scalability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data infrastructure.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and data warehouses.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
