Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on Frontend development to join their fully remote team, servicing clients across the UK including Portsmouth . This position is ideal for a developer passionate about creating exceptional user experiences through intuitive and responsive web interfaces. You will be responsible for translating design mockups and user requirements into high-quality, performant code, collaborating closely with UX designers and backend engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into functional, responsive web pages and features.
• Optimize application code and performance for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate effectively with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, participating actively in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Mentor junior frontend developers and contribute to establishing frontend best practices and coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficiency with at least one major JavaScript framework such as React , Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and performance optimization techniques.
